There was a four way battle in the morning between Simon in his Skoda, Murray MacDonald in Iain’s Golf, Neil Bray in his Mini and Peter York with his usual Nova. Neil had repaired the Mini’s transmission since the last event, while Murray was freash from competing in the Ebworth Chase the previous day.
At lunch Simon had a three second lead and extended this a little during the afternoon to finish four seconds ahead of Peter. Both Neil and Murray fell behind towards the end and were over-hauled by a charging Neal Masters who had been struggling for grip during the morning in the light weight Locust kitcar
Annie Muir was impressive in her first Falcon Autotest
Annie Muir made her autotest debut in a Mini and went really well in the morning to head many of the old hands. However, she incurred a double wrong course on the last test which put her right back. Iain MacDonald was second in the well supported class B. Emma Lane was best novice and Kevin Roberts lost his novice staus by winning class C.
