Roger Tushingham told me just before the 2004 event:-

The Ilkley & District Motor Club will be running an LDT this year on the 23rd of May. They ran a couple of trials about 10 years ago. The joint clerks of the course keep droping in at my place for a cup of tea (I'm on the route) and I can tell you that they have about 24 very good sections in view and expect to be able to use about 18 on the day. They have a very big membership who will pull together to put on a good event. The joint CoC's are Stan Peel and John Busfield who both have a lot of experience, recent retirement has encouraged them to use some of their time to put this trial back on the map. It's cars and bikes, reg's will be available shortly from the Secretary of the meeting; Jane Tindall, 22 The Grove, Alwoodley, Leeds, LS17 7BW. tel 0113 225 2019, fax 0113 267 2120. From my knowledge of the sections I would take a stab at 2/2 as a provisional rating.

Best regards
Roger Tushingham
